Hyderabad: Telangana added 1,920 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the cumulative caseload to 6,97,775, and two deaths due to the virus. The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 16,496.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation continues to be the main contributor of the infection registering 1,015 new cases during the last 24 hours followed by Medchal-Malkajgiri (209), Rangareddy (159), Sangareddy (55), and Hanumakonda (55).



A total of 417 people recovered from COVID-19 on Tuesday, this is approximately 18% more people as compared to a day earlier. The overall recoveries stand at 6,77,234 constituting a recovery rate of 97.05 %.

As many as 83,153 samples were tested in the state during the past 24 hours out of which the results of 15,969 swab samples are awaited. So far, the state has conducted 3,02,77,738 COVID-19 tests since the outbreak of the pandemic.

A total of 2,71,416 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines were administered on Tuesday of which around 90,424 were the first dose and 1,61,091 were the second dose.
