Hyderabad: Twenty police officers from Telangana from the selected lists of 2016-20 were appointed to the Indian Police Service on probation by the President of India. They have been allocated to the Telangana cadre.
On 17 December, UPSC approved the list prepared by the selection committee in November to fill up 23 vacancies in the Telangana cadre of the Indian Police Service (IPS).
The police officers selected in 2016 who have now been appointed to IPS are N. Koti Reddy, L. Subbarayudu, K. Narayana Reddy, D.V Srinivasa Rao, T. Srinivasa Rao, T. Annapurna, P.V Padmaja, and Janaki Dharvath.
Officers appointed to IPS from the select list of 2017 is P. Yadagiri and from 2018 are K.R Nagaraju and M. Narayana. From the 2019 list V. Thirupathi, S. Rajendraprasad, D. Udayakumar Reddy, and K. Suresh Kumar were appointed to the Indian Police Service and from the 2020 list B. Anuradha, C. Anasuya, Shaik Saleema, R. Giridhar, and Ch. Praveen Kumar were appointed.
The order said the appointments will take effect from the date of issue of the notification of the selected list. The selected officers will remain on probation for a year and will obtain induction training.
