3 of a family killed in road accident in Jangaon

Jangaon: Three members of a family were killed on the spot when their car crashed against a Bolero at Mangalapuram in Jangaon district on Friday after a puncture in one of the tyres. One person was injured in the mishap.

According to the police, the family was traveling to Tiruamalagiri, Ghanapuram, in Medak district from Hyderabad to attend a funeral of a relative when the accident occurred.

The deceased were identified as Shekhar Reddy (65), his wife Dhanamma (60), and their son Raghuma Reddy (27). The driver of the Bolero was injured in the accident and was admitted to a nearby private hospital for treatment. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, the police said.
