3 TS teachers selected for National Awards to Teachers 2022

Hyderabad: Three teachers from Telangana have made it to the list of 46 best teachers in India recognised by the government of India on the occasion of Teachers' Day. T.N Sridhar from ZPHS Mahabubnagar, Kandala Ramaiah from Abbapur school in Mulugu, and Sunita Rao, the principal of Nacharam Delhi Public school, have been conferred with the national award.

President of India Droupadi Murmu will confer the National Awards to Teachers 2022 to 46 selected awardees on Monday at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

T.N Sridhar has been working towards improving the infrastructure in his school. Kandala Ramaiah is revered for the unique and innovative ways that he uses to teach Mathematics so as to make it interesting. Sunitha Rao has been working towards promoting research from a younger age and encourages research-based learning. Toy labs and AI labs have been set up in her school to rouse interest among students.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ravi Aruna from Andhra Pradesh also received the award for her best performance as a science teacher in ASNRA ZP High School Kanuru.


The department of school education and literacy, Union ministry of education, has been giving this award every year to the best teachers in the country who are selected through a rigorous, transparent, and online three-stage selection process.

According to the ministry of education, the purpose of the National Awards to Teachers is to celebrate the unique contribution of teachers in the country and to honour those teachers who, through their commitment and industry, have not only improved the quality of school education but also have enriched the lives of their students.
