5 more Omicron cases in TS; total tally reaches 67
Out of the five new cases, four are from non-risk countries and one is from 'at-risk' country

No case of local transmission was reported today.
Out of the total 67 Omicron cases in the state reported so far, 36 are from non-risk countries, 5 are from 'at-risk' countries, four are cases of local transmission, and 22 have recovered from the infection.
On Wednesday, the state reported no Omicron cases.
A total of 143 passengers from 'at-risk' countries were screened for Omicron at RGIA on Thursday out of which four turned Covid-19 positive. All the four samples have been sent for genome sequencing. The result of 20 samples are awaited in the state as of 30 December.
Meanwhile, 280 samples turned Covid-19 positive in Telangana today. 206 people recovered and 1 died due to the infection on Thursday.
