Hyderabad: A special court has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Bharatiya Janta Party MP from Nizamabad Dharmapuri Aravind for abusing Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son KT Rama Rao during the GHMC election campaign.
Dharmapuri had also pulled down the flexis of the CM and his son at KBR national park on November 23, 2020. Police later registered a case after a complaint was filed against Aravind. They also filed a charge sheet in the case.
This incident took place during the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
Aravind and his supporters abused the CM and his son KTR. The Court issued summons to the MP and asked him to appear before it. However, the MP did not appear before the court.
Keeping this in mind, the Court issued a non-bailable warrant against the MP directed the local police to produce him before it on March 28. It is learned that the MP might appear in front of the court by moving a petition seeking withdrawal of the non-bailable warrant before March 28.
Meanwhile, Banjara Hills police are yet to initiate any action since the court.
