Vaishali, 24, was reportedly abducted by around 100 people after vandalizing their house at Adibatla in Rangareddy District on December 9.
Her parents filed a complaint at the Adibatla Police Station stating that Mr. Tea's owner Naveen Reddy was responsible for the kidnap.
Vaishali, who has completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), was rescued after 6 hours.
Vaishali's parents claimed that Naveen Reddy was forcing the girl to accept his marriage proposal. The parents stated that Vaishali rejected his proposal and hence, he kidnapped her.
However, sources said, Vaishali and Naveen Reddy got married in 2021. Post their marriage, Vaishali's parents reportedly asked them to live apart and keep the marriage confidential until Vaishali completes her BDS.
Meanwhile, her parents reportedly destroyed evidence and wanted her to marry someone else.
Documents of a Volvo car brought by Naveen Reddy reportedly show Vaishali as his wife and a nominee.
A protest by the woman's relatives caused a traffic jam on the Nagarjuna Sagar expressway. They also torched a business outlet that is allegedly part of a Naveen Reddy-owned network.
