Another 13 TS hospitals get NQAS certification
Including the 13 hospitals that received NQAC certificates recently, Telangana now has 143 NQAC-certified hospitals, making it the fourth state with the highest number of accredited hospitals, minister Rao said.

The Union ministry of health and family welfare wrote to the state government congratulating the health department. Telangana health minister Harish Rao also lauded the national recognition that the state hospitals received.
Including the 13 hospitals that received NQAC certificates recently, Telangana now has 143 NQAC-certified hospitals, making it the fourth state with the highest number of accredited hospitals, minister Rao said. The government is working to make it the first, he added.
Besides, the Nirmal area hospital has been recognised as the "target" for adhering to the highest quality standards in the management of labor room and operation theater.
Applauding the efforts of the medical staff in the state, Mr. Rao said, "Under the leadership of Chief Minister KCR, the standards of government medical services have increased significantly, as evident by the national recognition given by the Central government. The government is working to provide quality medical services to the people from the PHC level in the state. The state health sector is becoming an ideal for the country."
He was happy that the district, regional, social and primary health centers in Telangana are achieving national-level quality standards usually limited to corporate hospitals.
"The government is strengthening the medical sector in the state. The infrastructure in government hospitals has improved. Valuable medical equipment has become available. The quality of OP, IP, and surgical has improved in all sectors," Mr. Rao added.
