Arli in Adilabad coldest in Telangana; mercury settles at 4.9 degrees C
According to TSDPS, in the GHMC area, the lowest minimum temperature of 9.3 degree Celsius was recorded at Agriculture Research Station in Rajendranagr in Rangareddy.

According to Telangana State Development and Planning Society (TSDPS), Sirpur in Komaram Bheem recorded temperature of 5.8 degree C, Ginnedari in Komaram Bheem recorded 6 degree C, Meerkhanpet in Rangareddy recorded 6.2 degree C, Nyalkal in Sangareddy recorded 6.2 degree C, Jainad in Adilabad recorded 6.3 degree C, Pippaldhari in Adilabad recorded 6.3 degree C, Pembi in Nirmal recorded 6.6 degree C, Adilabad Urban recorded 6.6 degree C, and Kawal Tiger Reserve Jannaram recorded 6.9 degree Cin the last 24 hours.
According to TSDPS, in the GHMC area, the lowest minimum temperature of 9.3 degree Celsius was recorded at Agriculture Research Station in Rajendranagr in Rangareddy followed by the University of Hyderabad (9.6) in Serilingampally in Rangareddy, and Bandlaguda (9.9) in Uppal in Medchal Malkajgiri. The fourth lowest minimum temperature of 10 degree C in GHMC was recorded in West Marredpally in Hyderabad.
On January 29, Hyderabad recorded a minimum temperature of 11.4 degree Celsius, according to IMD Hyderabad. This is a deviation of 5 degrees Celsius against the normal. From January 29 to February 2, IMD has forecasted minimum temperatures between 12 to 15 degrees Celsius for Hyderabad with foggy/ misty morning and clear skies during the day hours.
Terming it, the coldest morning of January, weather observer T Balaji tweeted, "Arli in Adilabad recorded freezing temperature of 4.9 degrees Celsius. Many places in North Telangana recorded single-digit temperatures. Single-digit temperatures even in Hyderabad. Rajendranagar recorded 9.3 degrees Celsius followed by Bandlaguda in Uppal, 9.9 degrees Celsius. Strong winds from Central India have been cited as the major reason for cold wave conditions in the state."

Meanwhile, there are no reports of rainfall from anywhere in Telangana in the last 24 hours. Maganoor in Narayanpet recorded the state's highest maximum temperature of 33.9 degrees Celsius.
