‘Budget prioritises education and agriculture’
“Investments will only be made if peace and security are maintained. The real estate sector will experience growth in the State, and law enforcement will work to maintain law and order in a proper manner,” he said.
In reference to the State budget, CM Revanth Reddy described the budget presented by Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu as a combination of Ugadi pachadi. The budget will prioritise improving education for the poor and expanding agriculture. He emphasised how the Food Security Act passed by Congress helps combat poverty and hunger.
The chief minister also discussed the State’s growth and welfare. He assured that the government will continue to try to provide employment possibilities for young people.
“Telangana is one of India’s leading producers of rice. Last year, around 1.56 lakh metric tonnes of paddy were produced in the State. This is the first time the paddy was produced in a large quantity, which was not done in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. We are giving bonuses only to the farmers producing fine grain. With this, around 60-65 per cent of farmers are cultivating fine grain,” the chief minister said.
CM Revanth Reddy also announced plans to give the impoverished access to fine grain produced by local farmers. Additionally, he revealed a new plan to give rice to the underprivileged during Ugadi. Bachampally Santosh Kumar Shastri presented the Panchanga Saravanam on the occasion.
