On Friday, the chief minister held a review meeting at ICCC on the construction of national highways and the progress of RRR works. In light of the recent meeting between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh officials in Delhi regarding State reorganisation issues, where the Union home secretary directed the preparation of a DPR (Detailed Project Report) for the proposed Hyderabad-Vijayawada Greenfield Highway, the CM directed officials to focus on that task.

Highway to Raipur
CM also suggested preparing proposals to connect Hyderabad with Chhattisgarhās capital, Raipur, via a new national highway and submitting them to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The CM further instructed the preparation of proposals for a new national highway from Hyderabad to Mancherial.
The chief minister inquired about the difficulties being faced in land acquisition for national highways across the State. Officials explained that in many areas, agricultural crops were still standing, and NHAI was unwilling to pay compensation for crop loss. Since the crop season is nearly over, the CM directed officials to immediately hold talks with farmers and complete the land acquisition process.
For any land acquisition issues, the CM asked that the respective district collectors be consulted directly. If there are any technical or legal complications, he instructs chief secretary Shanti Kumari to ensure efforts are made to resolve them.
The chief minister also emphasised focusing on the development of radial roads from the Outer Ring Road (ORR) to the RRR and the expansion of roads from the RRR to the Telangana State borders.
