Hyderabad: Tightening noose, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy warned officials of stringent action if they harass or trouble people in a review meeting with senior government officials.

The chief minister said that the government will not tolerate any misconduct. He said if any official takes decisions without consulting the government, he will face the music and lose the job.

The Chief Minister expressed anger over inspecting the agricultural pump sets of the farmers in Mahabubnagar district recently.

This issue has come up for discussion while the CM is reviewing the status of the applications received in the recently conducted Praja Palana at the Secretariat on Thursday. The CM questioned TRANSCO CMD Rizvi for surveying the agricultural pump sets and orders given to this effect in the meeting.

The chief minister inquired whether action was taken against the officials responsible. Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, who was also present in the meeting, said he too came to the issue of a survey of pump sets.

Deputy CM said that DISCOM Director (Operations) Srinivasa Reddy gave orders without any departmental decision and Superintendent Engineer (SE) NSR Murthy implemented the orders.

The Deputy Chief Minister informed the CM that Director Srinivasa Reddy has been removed from duty and the SE has been transferred. The Chief Minister cautioned the officials to stop making decisions on their own otherwise be ready to lose their jobs. The government will not tolerate such actions which causes the government to face embarrassment, the CM said.
