Cold wave conditions prevail; another night of single-digit temperatures in TS

Hyderabad: Telangana experienced another chilly night of the winter season on Tuesday.

Many places in the state recorded single-digit temperatures during the last 24 hours.

According to Telangana State Development and Planning Society (TSDPS), Ginnedari in Kumaram Bheem district recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 4.6 degrees Celsius.

In Adilabad, Sonala recorded a temperature of 5.8 degree C, Bela 5.9 degree C, and Arli 5.9 degree C.


In Kumaram Bheem, Sirpur (U) recorded temperature of 6 degree C, Wankidi 6.1 degree Celcius, and Ravindranagar 6.4 degree C. Kawal Tiger Reserve, Jannaram, in Mancherial recorded temperature of 6.1 degree C

Mutharam Mahadevpur also recorded a temperature of 6.5 degree C. Jayashankar also recorded a single-digit temperature.

Hyderabad recorded a minimum temperature of 11.2 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours. The maximum temperature recorded in the city was 29.5 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, there was no rainfall across the state in the last 24 hours.

Once again so many places in #Warangal, Mulugu, #Karimnagar, Bhupalpally, #Peddapalli, #Mancehrial, Asifabad, #Adilabad recorded so many single-digit temp just like yday. Respite from #coldwave expected later from tomorrow (sic)," tweeted T. Balaji, popularly known as Telangana Weatherman.

On December 21, IMD had issued an orange alert in the state. The weatherman had said cold wave conditions in the state will persist for another 24 hours before it abates.
