Cold wave grips Telangana: Temperatures drop to single digits, Arli records 7.6 degrees

According to Telangana State Development and Planning Society (TSDPS) data, Arli in Adilabad recorded the state's lowest minimum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius.
Pippaldhari (8) in Adilabad, Sirpur(8.1) in Komaram Bheem, Baharampur (8.5), Adilabad Urban (8.8), Chaprala (8.8), Talamadugu (9), Ramnagar (9.3), Ginnedari (9.5), and Tamsi (9.5), all in Adilabad district recorded temperatures less than 10 degrees Celsius.
The TSDPS forecasts also predict single-digit temperatures in more districts like Komaram Bheem, Warangal, Mancherial, Mulugu, Nizamabad, Jagtial on the nights of January 27 and 28.
Independent weather observer, T Balaji (popular as Telangana Weatherman) wrote on Twitter, "Severe cold wave started in North Telangana. Bheempoor in Adilabad recorded 7.6 degrees Celsius minimum temperature today (January 27) morning. Nirmal, Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Nizamabad also witnessed severe winter chills. From tonight, entire Telangana, Hyderabad will witness severe cold wave."

Experts cite strong winds from Central India as the reason for the cold wave conditions in the state.
Meanwhile, the state's maximum temperature was 34.6 degrees Celsius, recorded at Kanaipally in Wanaparthy district. Also, no rainfall was recorded anywhere in the state.
