COVID-19: TS reports 1,825 new cases, highest in GHMC

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported the highest number of cases (1,042) in the last 24 hours followed by Medchal-Malkajgiri (201), Rangareddy (147), and Sangareddy (51).

COVID-19: TS reports 1,825 new cases, highest in GHMC

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 1,825 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, pushing the cumulative caseload to 6,95,855. One COVID-19 death was reported in the last 24 hours in the state. On Sunday, the state had reported only 1,673 cases. The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 14,995.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported the highest number of cases (1,042) in the last 24 hours followed by Medchal-Malkajgiri (201), Rangareddy (147), and Sangareddy (51).

A total of 351 people have recovered from coronavirus statewide in a span of 24 hours taking the overall recoveries so far to 6,76,817 constituting a recovery rate of 97.26%.

As many as 70,697 samples were tested in the state during the past 24 hours out of which the results of 12,948 swab samples are awaited. A total of 3,01,94,585 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic.

A total of 2,74,612 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines were administered on Monday. Around 1,13,245 were first dose and 1,39,322 were second dose.

Out of the total 56,036 hospital beds in Telangana, 54,590 are occupied by COVID-19 patients.
