Telangana High Court issued notices to the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Scheduled Castes Development Department, and Commissioner for Scheduled Caste Welfare Department after a petitioner flagged discriminatory clauses in the Dalit Bandhu scheme.
The division bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice T. Vinod Kumar was hearing a petition of Keethineedi Akhil Sri Guru Teja, a private employee in Hyderabad.

Under the GO, the guidelines shall be framed in consultation with the public representatives and officials to select the beneficiaries without favoritism or nepotism. The government shall select 1100 Schedule Caste families from each assembly constituency to provide financial assistance of Rs.ten lakh each.
