Declare police action illegal, order CBI/SIT probe: BJP petitions TS HC on MLA poaching case

One writ petition has been filed by Kore Chitralekha. She is the wife of Nandu Kumar who is one of the accused in the poaching case. Another petition was filed by Telangana BJP represented by its General Secretary G. Premendar Reddy.

Declare police action illegal, order CBI/SIT probe:  BJP petitions TS HC on MLA poaching case

Telangana high court on Monday heard two petitions seeking CBI or SIT probe into the MLA poaching case.

One writ petition has been filed by Kore Chitralekha. She is the wife of Nandu Kumar who is one of the accused in the poaching case. She prayed for the transfer of the case to the CBI or forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to hold an inquiry.

She also sought to declare the action of the state government and police as illegal.

Another petition was filed by Telangana BJP represented by its General Secretary G. Premendar Reddy. He alleged that the action of the state government and police is intended to frame the BJP and damage its reputation at the instance of the ruling party. He prayed to declare the state government's action as illegal and transfer the investigation to CBI or Special Investigation Team.

The case came up for hearing on Monday. Justice Bollam Vijaysen Reddy heard both the writ petitions.
