He said required funds would be made available for infrastructure development and beautification. The CM also instructed that a Padayatra should be undertaken to examine in detail the development needs of Nalgonda town.

CM reviews development of Nalgonda Municipality:

The CM held a high-level review meeting at the district Collectorate on Wednesday with Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and higher officials.

The CM has instructed Ministers KT Rama Rao and Vemula Prashanth Reddy to undertake a tour of Nalgonda town to take up developmental works.

The CM said a Municipal Commissioner who can work with commitment and dedication should be posted immediately. He entrusted Siddipet Municipal Commissioner Ramanachary to develop Nalgonda.

The CM inquired from the officials concerned about the situation of sewerage and underground drainage canals, stadium, integrated veg, and non-veg markets, Rythu Bazaars, hospitals, roads, etc. The CM also inquired about the street lighting. He has instructed the electricity officials to construct the required sub-stations for Nalgonda.

He also instructed that construction should be taken up for the integrated markets, Rythu Bazaars at the suitable places. Since Udaya Samudram is brimming with water, beautification of its tank bund should be taken up. Urban Park should be made available for the comfort of the Nalgonda citizens.

He also wanted the construction of a modern town hall with 2000 capacity to conduct meetings, conferences, and other programmes. For this, the CM instructed the Collector and local MLA to identify suitable land at the centrally located place.

"Since Nalgonda population is on the increase, footpaths should be provided for the pedestrians. He wanted works for the underground drainage should be taken up. Like Uppal Bhagayath, land pooling should be done to construct the colonies," he said.

Officials informed the CM that Nalgonda used to have a very serious drinking water problem and with Mission Bhagiratha it has been solved. The CM also inquired about the progress of double bed rooms' houses. The CM also inquired about the Vaikuntha Dammam. He said burial grounds for Muslims and Christians and cremation grounds for the Hindus should be constructed.

House sites for the Project Colony residents

The CM said measures should be taken to issue Pattas for the people who participated in the project works and settled at the site. He said people residing near the project sites in Nizamabad, Khammam, and other districts should be given Pattas.

The CM instructed CS Somesh Kumar to issue the necessary instructions in this regard. The CM clarified residents under Nagarjuna Sagar would be given the Pattas as promised. "Once we give an assurance, we should fulfill," he said.

He said since the election code is not in vogue now, all the eligible residents of Sagar colonies should be given Pattas.

"Decades ago for the construction projects, poor workers from Sc, ST, BC and Minority communities participated, they are residing here. Nagarjunasagar became a Municipality. They have constructed houses on a small piece of land. It is the responsibility of the government to provide them Pattas," the CM said.
