Hyderabad: Citizens applying for death certificates will now have to include the name of the graveyard (burial or cremation ground). Telangana chief secretary Somesh Kumar has directed the GHMC and other municipalities to enroll all graveyards for the speedy issue of death certificates.
He directed officials to ensure 100% enrolment of all births and deaths in the state. In this regard, he asked the GHMC commissioner, commissioner and director of municipal administration (CDMA), and the health, medical, and family welfare (HMFW) department to see that not only all hospitals but all graveyards and cremation grounds are enrolled on the birth and death registration platform. He asked the officials concerned to ensure that the platforms of GHMC and others for birth and death registration are integrated for a seamless flow of information.
While reviewing Smart City projects, the chief secretary instructed officials to speed up civil works for Smart City projects in Warangal and Karimnagar and ensure their completion within the shortest timeframe.
The chief secretary observed that the TS BPass has been successfully implemented in urban areas. Chief Minister KCR has said that TS BPass (Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification System) should be immediately implemented in rural areas for the convenience of the people. Accordingly, the modalities of implementation for rural areas were also finalized. Mr. Kumar directed officials to complete the rollout immediately.
