Flyover to Cultural Center:  KCR calls for expediting development works in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao directed the officials to expedite the development works in Nalgonda town.

The CM expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in work even after the government released the funds. The CM reviewed development works in Narket Palli.

The CM inquired about the progress of the works. He said the 'Nalgonda Kalabharati' Cultural Center should be set up in the town with state-of-the-art facilities. It should have a capacity to accommodate 2000 people.

The CM directed the officials to get designs from eminent architects for beautification. He said the people and their family members should feel coming to the place to spend quality time.

The CM oversaw the construction work of the integrated market. Nalgonda Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil, Municipal Commissioner Ramanachari, and other officials briefed the CM about the progress of the works.

The CM asked about greenery and nurseries in the city. Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil said they are translocating large trees that are being removed due to road widening and other reasons.

The CM inquired about the progress of development works and lift irrigation works in Sagar, Alia, and Nandikonda municipalities. Officials said the tender process has been completed. The CM said the funds for these had been sanctioned and work should be expedited.

Flyover at Nalgonda, Marriguda Bypass Junction, R&B Guest House at Clock Tower Junction, and R&B Office Buildings at the Integrated Collectorate Office were sanctioned by the CM.

He called the Minister of Roads and Buildings Prashant Reddy and asked him to issue GOs related to the construction. The construction work is expected to be completed within six months.

Similarly, the CM directed Secretary Smita Sabharwal to take steps for the construction of the Chief Engineer of Irrigation's office. The CM responded positively to the request made by local MLA Bhaskar Rao for the construction of a court in Miryalaguda.
