Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Tuesday gave the go-ahead to YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief Y.S Sharmila to hold her padayatra and public meeting in Warangal.
YSRTP, represented by its leader D. Ravindranath Reddy, filed a plea in the Telangana High Court on Tuesday seeking permission for Sharmila's public meeting and padayatra in Warangal district which was inadvertently stopped by the police.
In the plea, YSRTP also sought to declare the action of the police as illegal.
The petitioner requested the court to grant relief and to give permission for the padayatra.
After hearing the contentions of the petitioner's counsel, the High Court Bench directed the petitioner to submit a representation to the police at Warangal to permit the padayatra and public meeting.
Moreover, the High Court Bench imposed conditions and asked Sharmila not to make objectionable comments on political and religious terms and inappropriate comments on CM KCR.
The High Court directed the police to permit Sharmila's padayatra and public meeting which have to be carried out in a peaceful manner.
