Hot days ahead: Mercury levels soar in TS, highest temp of 41.3°C recorded in Nizamabad

Hot days ahead: Mercury levels soar in TS, highest temp of 41.3°C recorded in Nizamabad

Hyderabad: Despite another month to go before summer reaches its peak in the state, temperatures in Telangana are already soaring. According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), Palda in Nizamabad recorded the state's highest maximum temperature of 41.3°Celsius.

Temperatures are soaring in all the districts of the state. Several places besides Palda recorded temperatures over 40°Celsius, including Adilabad Urban near Collectorate (41.1); Manchippa (41) in Nizamabad; Chaprala (40.8) in Adilabad; Medaram (40.7) in Mulugu; Lakmapoor (40.7), Issapalle (40.7), and Mortad (40.6) in Nizamabad; Tamsi (40.5) and Bhoraj (40.4) in Adilabad.




In the GHMC area, Madhapur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37.6°Celsius.

On the other hand, the state's lowest minimum temperature of 20.8°Celsius was recorded in Angadi Kistapur in Siddipet. GHMC's lowest minimum temperature of 22.7°Celsius was recorded in Bandlaguda.

Summer rains

Meanwhile, according to the TSDPS, some isolated places in the state received small amounts of rainfall. Andhole in Sangareddy received the state's highest rainfall in the last 24 hours (1.3 mm). Besides, Vikarabad, Mahbubnagar, Suryapet, and Hanumakonda also received very low rainfall in the state ranging between 0.3 mm and 2.4 mm. In Hyderabad, Asifnagar recorded the highest rainfall of 1 mm. The Nampally area also received light rainfall in the last 24 hours.

What lies ahead

According to TSDPS weather forecast for the next three days from 10 to 13 April, maximum temperatures are expected to go even higher in some places for the next three days in many districts.

Moreover, dry weather is expected and maximum temperatures are likely to range between 39-43°Celsius. On the other hand, minimum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-26°Celsius.

In Hyderabad, dry weather is expected for the next three days. The city's maximum temperatures will be in the range of 37-39°Celsius whereas the minimum temperatures will range between 24-26°Celsius.
