Hyderabad: With winter slowly approaching its peak, the night temperatures in the state are steadily dropping. According to IMD's daily weather report, Adilabad recorded the state's lowest minimum temperature of 11°Celsius in the last 24 hours.
Hyderabad also saw a significant drop in minimum temperatures in the last 24 hours. The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 13.5°Celsius which is a deviation of -1.7°Celsius against the normal.
Several other weather stations in the state also recorded low temperatures like Medak (12.8°Celsius), Dundigal (13.7°Celsius), and Ramagundam (13.8°Celsius).
Interestingly, Medak, which recorded a minimum temperature of 12.8°Celsius, also recorded the maximum temperatures of 31.2°Celsius in the last 24 hours.
All the weather stations in the state recorded minimum temperatures well below 20°Celsius in the last 24 hours.
Dry weather prevailed in the state with no rainfall in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, a cold wave alert has been given for Telangana by Balaji T, popularly known as Telangana Weatherman, from 18 to 22 December. Balaji tweeted, "Severe Cold Wave Alert. Strong northerly winds will bring the coldest spells of this entire season #Telanagana. Temperatures will drop upto 3.5 degrees Celsius in parts of North, West Telangana, and upto 7 to 8 degrees Celsius in parts of Hyderabad during December 18-22. Get your sweaters ready."
