KCR extends deadline for regularisation of house sites by 1 month

KCR said people will be given land pattas with legal rights and that the government’s main objective is to address the housing issues of the poor

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has made it clear that the state government will regularise housing sites owned by the poor as per the rules and provide them legal rights to construct houses in municipalities that fall under the limits of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

KCR announced that the deadline for regularisation of notary lands, as per GOs (government orders) 58 and 59, has been is extended by a month.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people to use the opportunity given by the state government. He requested them to meet their MLAs in their respective Assembly constituencies and discuss notary, housing sites regularisation, etc. with them.

KCR said people will be given land pattas with legal rights and that the government’s main objective is to address the housing issues of the poor in one go. A special drive will be organised for this, he added.

The Chief Minister also said that notary problems regarding agricultural lands will also be resolved. A collectors’ conference will be held soon on this particular issue.

MLAs of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad met Chief Minister at the new Dr. BR Ambedkar Secretariat and pleaded with the CM to address the issue of housing sites for the poor on Monday.

Considering their request, KCR responded positively to address the problems related to the notary and GOs 58 and 59. He decided to extend the deadline by another month and requested the people to use the opportunity.

Minister C.H. Mallareddy, MLCs Sheri Subhash Reddy and Naveen Kumar, BRS MLAs Arikepudi Gandhi, Maganti Gopinath, Danam Nagender, Madhavaram Krishna Rao, Jajula Surender, and Atram Sakku met the Chief Minister.

AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, chief secretary to the government Santhi Kumari, principal secretary to the CM Narsing Rao, secretary to the CM Smita Sabharwal, Naveen Mittal, Priyanka Varghese, and others were also present.
