Hyderabad: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana for the next five days, according to IMD Hyderabad.
Heavy rains are likely to occur in Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana.
In the next 24 hours, Hyderabad will experience a generally cloudy sky and light to moderate rain. Light rains will continue for the next two days in the city. According to IMD, the surface winds are likely to be northerlies with wind speeds around 06-10 km per hour. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32Ā°Celsius and 22Ā°Celsius, respectively.
Excess rainfall
IMD reported that the state had 49% excess rainfall in 2022 between June and September. Ten districts in the state had a large amount of excess rainfall (60% and above distribution of rains), 19 districts had excess rainfall (20% to 59% distribution of rains), and four districts had normal rainfall.
