`Medaram Jathara': TSRTC arranges special vehicles for delivering offerings to Goddess

Due to Covid-19, several devotees might not be able to attend the biennial festival and hence TSRTC launched the facility.

`Medaram Jathara:   TSRTC arranges special vehicles for delivering offerings to Goddess

Hyderabad: Devotees can now send their offerings to Medaram Jathara through the newly launched transportation facilities by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) from February 11.

The facility has was launched keeping in view the tribal biennial festival of Sammakka Saralamma which will be held from February 16th to 19th at Medaram in Mulugu district.

Due to Covid-19, several devotees might not be able to attend the biennial festival and hence TSRTC launched the facility.

For up to 200 Kms (i.e., booking point to Medaram) an amount of Rs.400/- will be charged, and for more than 200 Kms (i.e., booking point to Medaram). an amount of Rs.450/- will be charged. The Jaggery (Bangaram) from devotees at the bus stations will be collected from 11 February to 17 February 2022 for its transportation to Medaram Temple.

In collaboration with Endowments Department, the Sammakka Jathara goddess prasadam packet containing Jaggery -200gms, Turmeric-kumkum Packet, Photograph of the goddess will be arranged to these customers. These shall be handed over to them at the same booking counter.
