Telangana: Telangana High Court extended the stay on notices issued to BL Santosh, Tushar Vellapally, Jaggu Swamy and. Bhusarapu Srinivas to December 30.
Justice K. Surender was hearing a lunch motion filed by BL Santosh and three others seeking an extension stay order on the ground that Justice D. Nagarjun has not yet joined duty. Justice D. Nagarjun was to pronounce orders in the Criminal Revision Case filed by the SIT challenging the ACB court order. The ACB judge had rejected the Memo filed by SIT arraying BL Santosh, Tushar Vellapally, Jaggu Swamy and. Bhusarapu Srinivas as accused.
Rejecting the Memo, the ACB Judge had said the SIT has no power to probe this case as the case is registered under PC Act.
Desai Prakash Reddy, senior counsel appearing for BL Santosh informed the court that Justice D. Nagarjun has not yet joined the duty. He said since no orders were pronounced in the Criminal Revision Case, the Court should extend the interim stay on notices issued to BL Santosh under section 41A CrPC.
Accordingly, Justice K. Surender extended the stay till Dec 30.
