Hyderabad: Police have booked Raghava Constructions, a company owned by Harsha Reddy, the son of Congress Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, for attempting to grab land worth ₹300 crore at Vattinagulapally village in Ranga Reddy district.

Police said in an attempt to grab land worth ₹300 crore, Ponguleti’s son's men led an attack on a few landowners using JCBs. A case has been registered against Ponguleti’s son’s company, Raghava Constructions, at Gachibowli Police Station.

The incident occurred in Vatti Nagulapalli village, under the Gandipet Revenue Mandal, where over 70 hired bouncers from Raghava Constructions tried to seize the land and demolish the compound wall surrounding the property. They also attacked the landowner who wanted to stop them.

Gachibowli Police have registered a case under seven sections. The case was filed based on a complaint by Pallavi Shah. The complaint also states that a Goshala (cowshed) in the area was destroyed. The incident took place past midnight on November 30. Along with Raghava Constructions, the police have booked five more individuals.

Sharing details, police said on November 30, they received a petition from Pallavi S Sha of BN Reddy Colony, Road No.14, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. She said people associated with New Gen Builders -- Sudhir Shah, Avinav Shah, Akshay Shah, and Amrit Shah -- trespassed on her land at Vattinagulapally village, Gandipet Mandal, Ranga Reddy district.

Around 70 henchmen, many of them wearing masks, armed with four JCBs, damaged the land. Her staff members Shiv Charan, Srinu, and Dharanpal were physically assaulted, abused, and unlawfully confined by the offenders, she said.

Pallavi stated that despite the offenders being informed about the injunction orders issued by the District Court and the High Court, they forcibly demolished the Gowshala and damaged the field.

“When her staff attempted to stop them, the offenders became violent. They mentioned that they were directed to trespass by Akshay, Prashant, and Avinav. They also destroyed the security guard's tent and electric fans in the Gowshala and field area,” she said in her complaint.

The offenders further mentioned the name of Raghava Construction. She also stated that the offenders snatched the mobile phones of her staff.

The JCBs involved in the activity had no registration numbers. Cars were also seen at the site. Additionally, a truck was found illegally parked on her land.
