Hyderabad: Kashmiri Hindu Sabha, Telangana (KHST) condemned the killing of a revenue official in Central Kashmir's Budgam district.

Militants barged into the Tehsildar's office at Chadoora and shot Rahul Bhat from point-blank. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

"Yet again the selective killing in Kashmir a few days back. It Is unfortunate that Rahul Bhat, a Kashmiri Pandit, who was appointed in 2010 under the Prime Minister's special package, was shot dead," said KHST in a statement.

KHST said the Kashmiri Pandit community has been targeted time and again by the gun-wielding terrorists even after being forcibly evicted from their homeland in 1990.

"These gruesome murders are yet again an eye-opener for the government that the cohabitation of the Minority community in the valley doesn't suit the agenda of the fundamentalists despite the center's assurances<," KHST said.

KHST said these targeted daylight murders once again prove the murderous intentions of terrorists and the fundamentalist section of locals who openly challenge the government against the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the valley.

KHST urged the government of India to take serious note of such heinous terror attacks and take all necessary measures for the safety and security of all KP's living in the valley.

KHST said they are very concerned about all the PM package employees living in Kashmir. KHST demanded immediate implementation of all the measures ensuring the safety and security of minority community members.
