Rajanna Sircilla, IOC invest Rs 2.50 crore for employment of differently-abled, transgender persons

Hyderabad: The Rajanna Sircilla district administration has launched a program to provide employment opportunities for differently-abled individuals and transgender persons.

This initiative, the first of its kind in the country, offers uninterrupted 24/7 services with top-notch quality, winning the appreciation of consumers and achieving remarkable success in a short span of time.

Economic Rehabilitation Initiative

As part of an economic rehabilitation program, the State government initiated the construction of a petrol pump for the differently-abled and transgender community.

On the directions of Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakkka and Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, land worth Rs 2.50 crore was allocated by the Rajanna Sircilla district administration.

With a Rs 2.50 crore investment from the IOC (Indian Oil Corporation Limited), the construction of the pump was completed. Under the leadership of Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and the district welfare department, the program is running successfully.

The petrol pump was constructed under the aegis of IOC near the Government Medical College on the second bypass road from Venkatapur to Ragudu in the Sircilla municipal limits.

The pump was inaugurated on December 7 by Adi Srinivas, Manakondur MLA Choppadandi Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, Medipalli Satyam, and Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha.

Employment for 24 Individuals

Authorities have already trained 24 differently-abled individuals and transgender persons from various parts of the district to work at the petrol pump. The staff is available round-the-clock, working in three shifts to provide seamless service.

Daily Sales of Rs 1 Lakh

The petrol pump, established under the Rajanna Sircilla district administration, has gained the trust of consumers by ensuring quality and accurate measurements. Within a short period, the pump has achieved daily sales of approximately Rs 1 lakh, reflecting the excellent consumer response.

“As per the directions of the State government, we have set up this petrol pump to provide employment to the differently abled and transgender community. High-quality services are being offered to consumers. Everyone should utilize this petrol pump and extend support to the differently abled and transgender individuals,” urged Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha.

“It is commendable that the State government has set up a petrol pump to provide employment for people like us. We were also trained to manage the pump. We are immensely grateful to the government,” said Vemula Srinivas from Thadagonda, Boinapalli Mandal.

Financial Security

Akula Sandhya from Peddur said, “The idea of establishing a petrol pump to provide us with employment is remarkable. This opportunity has helped us achieve financial stability.”

Velthi Ganesh from Sircilla said, “I completed my degree and applied for a job here after learning about the petrol pump established by the Rajanna Sircilla District Administration. I was offered a job here, which I am grateful for.”
