Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Monday permitted all cinema theatres in the state to increase the ticket prices for Mahesh Babu's 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' for a week.
As per the memo issued by the state Home department, for the category of recliner seats in single theatres, IMAX large screens, and multiplexes, an amount of Rs. 50 extra can be charged for seven days from 12 to 18 May.
In case of air-conditioned theatres, ticket prices can be increased by Rs. 30 from 12 to 18 May. For the remaining categories like non-AC, there is no change in ticket rates.
The government also permitted the screening of five shows of the movie between 7 a.m and 1 a.m from 12 to 18 May.
'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' is directed by Parasuram who is known for directing the blockbuster hit 'Geetha Govindam'. The movie, starring Mahesh Babu, Keerthy Suresh, Subbaraju, and others, is set to hit the screens on 12 May. The film is produced jointly by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, Ram Achanta, and Gopichand Achanta. A.S Prakash is the art director.
