Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan on Monday adjudicated the Criminal Petition filed by. Bandi Sanjay seeking to quash the docket order passed by First Class Magistrate at Hanamkonda in which he was remanded to judicial custody.

After hearing the contentions of the Advocate General, the Chief Justice said that nothing remains in this case.
Junior advocate on behalf of L Ravichander, senior counsel representing Bandi Sanjay, sought an adjournment on the ground that his senior will argue this case.
Advocate General informed the court that Bandi Sanjay is not cooperating with the investigating officer.
He said Bandi Sanjay is not handing over his mobile phone, which is a crucial aspect of the investigation. He said the delay in handing over the cell phone leads to the destruction of evidence, which may pave the way for the culprits to evade punishment.
