Telangana Congress govt stands by unemployed men, women of State: Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has asserted that the peopleās government will make the aspirations of unemployed men and women come true.
He was speaking at the Cyber Garden in the function to hand over appointment letters to Junior Assistants, Junior Plant Attendents, Office Subordinates, and Housekeepers who got jobs under the quota of Yadadri Thermal Power Station displaced persons of Veerlapalem village of Damaracharla mandal in Nalgonda district.
The Deputy CM also handed over appointment letters to the newly appointed Divisional Accounts Officers in the Finance department through the TGPSC here on Friday.
Self-respect and financial independence
Bhatti Vikramarka conveyed the message of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that the peopleās government would stand by the unemployed young men and women of this State who fought for decades for the realisation of Statehood with the belief that they would get jobs in their own State and it would pave way for leading life with self respect and also financially support their families.
The Chief Minister also said this government would always be ahead in the programme to provide employment opportunities to the youth.
He said that the Peopleās government is working and going ahead with the conviction that the provision of jobs to youth alone would bring meaning and purpose to the Statehood achieved through peopleās struggle.
āAfter the Peopleās government was formed, appointment letters were issued to 59,000 unemployed young men and women. This opportunity to serve people was provided by Indiramma government,ā he said.
Self-employment schemes
The State government also started the Rajiv Yuva Vikasa scheme to extend self-employment schemes worth Rs 9,000 crore to help unemployed youth who could not secure jobs.
āNever before in the history of the Telangana State, Rs 9,000 crore was allocated in one year for self-employment schemes,ā he said.
Unlike the previous BRS government that would only make announcements and leave them, this government fixed a calendar for every process, from receiving applications and, selection of beneficiaries to grounding of schemes even before the announcement of the Rajiv Yuva Vikas scheme.
The peopleās government is also making arrangements for providing jobs to lakhs of men and women by expanding the IT sector and knowledge hubs.
The foundation laid by the then Congress CM N Janardhan Reddy in the Hitech city area that was filled with hillocks and vacant land was taken forward by the succeeding Chief Ministers in developing IT sector. That was how today Hyderabad got transformed into a global city and many world renowned corporations came to Hyderabad to set up companies. It paved the way for lakhs of youth to get jobs.
The Congress government is giving special focus and priority for expanding Hyderabad city through the construction of Future City and setting up Skill University and Sports University and providing basic amenities for the development of the city.
Davos visit
He reminded that CM Revanth Reddy went to Davos and made MOUs with companies for investments worth Rs 1.84 lakh crore.
The State government is going ahead with systematic planning to develop the area between ORR and Regional Ring Road.
He cautioned the youth to be wary of some vested interests who were conspiring to stall the development and urged them to support development and employment-generating activities.
Mr Bhatti Vikramarka said that many YTPS displaced persons lamented that as the BRS government went back on its promise to provide jobs, many of them became age-barred.
This government, soon after coming to power, got the public hearing for environmental clearance, secured approvals and started production in YTPS, which was neglected by the previous government.
āA timeline was fixed to speed up the works, and regular reviews were held every 15 days. The works were completed, and the plant was inaugurated by the chief minister. Then, he, along with CM, gave a word to provide jobs to the displaced persons. As per the word, our government gave appointment letters to 112 eligible candidates to work in Yadadri Power Plant for the next 35 years and serve the people,ā he said.
