Telangana govt extends holidays for edu institutions till Jan 30
the Telangana Government on Sunday has extended the vacation of all education institutions till January 30. The Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar issued a new order on January 16.

The Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar issued a new order on January 16.

Earlier on January 4, the Telangana government had decided to close all educational institutions from January 8 to 16. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to review the pandemic situation.
On January 9, the government of Telangana had prohibited rallies, public gatherings, and mass gatherings of all types, including religious, political, and cultural, till 20 January.
It was also decided to strictly implement the order imposing a fine of Rs.1,000 on people who do wear masks in public places. The government also asked schools and educational institutions to ensure that all staff and students wear masks and follow COVID-appropriate behavior.
