Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Thursday announced that 49% of students passed the intermediate examinations for regular first-year students pursuing general and vocational courses for the academic year 2020-21.
A total of 4,59,242 students had appeared for the exams out of which 2,24,012 students passed.
Of the total students who had appeared for the exam this year, 2,26,616 were girls and 2,32,626 were boys and 56% of the girls and 42% of the boys passed.
TSBIE said that despite the absence of regular physical classes, the students have done well in the exams. Due to the pandemic, regular physical classes were conducted only for 40 days. Thereafter, online classes were arranged by TSBIE through Doordarshan and T-Sat. Zoom classes were also held by the college lecturers.
The intermediate public examinations for regular first-year students for the academic year 2020-21 were conducted from 25 October to 3 November 2021 in 1,768 examination centres. Subsequently, valuation was peacefully completed at 14 different spot valuation camps in the state.
