Hyderabad: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Tuesday declared the results of the first and second-year intermediate examinations. A total of 9,28,262 students had written the exam for the academic year 2021-22. Of whom. 5,90,327 students were declared successful. The overall pass percentage is 65.19% in the state.
Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy congratulated the students and staff. The pass percentage of the first year is 63.32. The pass percentage of the second year is 67.16.
In the first year, 4,64,892 students wrote the exam. Of whom, 2,94,378 students passed. A total of 1,93,925 students secured A grade and 63,501 students secured B grade in the first year. 2,33,210 girls appeared for the exam. Of them, 72.33 % (1,68,692) cleared the exam. Nearly 54% of boys passed in the first year.
Medchal Malkajgiri got the highest pass percentage of 75 % in the first year. Hanumakonda stood second with 74%.In the second year, 4,63,370 students appeared. Of whom, 2,95,949 students passed. The overall pass percentage is 67.16 %. 1,59,429 students secured A grade and 72,479 students secured B grade. 75.8% of girls and 60% of boys passed in the second year.
In the second year, Medchal Malkajgiri secured the highest pass percentage of 78 % in the state followed by Kumaram Bheem Asifabad with 72%.
Education Minister said the supplementary exams will begin on August 1 and the last date for submitting applications is June 30.
