Telangana sets up 12 Community Mediation Centres to resolve disputes involving senior citizens

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court Acting Chief and Patron-in-Chief and Executive Chairman, Telangana State Legal Services Authority Justice Sujoy Paul said that establishing the Community Mediation Centres is a step towards resolving the disputes at the grassroots level, which will be beneficial to the litigant people.

Sujoy Paul, along with High Court Justice and Administrative Judge of Kamareddy District Pulla Karthik, have virtually inaugurated the 12 Community Mediation Centres set up in the Gram Panchayat Meeting Halls for resolving minor disputes.

As per the instructions of the Collector, Kamareddy, the District Panchayat Officer of Kamareddy district, was permitted to use the Gram Panchayat Meeting Halls for conducting the Community Mediation by the volunteers, who were trained by the Telangana State Legal Services Authority.

How will Community Mediation Centres help?

Speaking on the occasion, Justices Sujoy Paul and Karthik addressed the volunteers and congratulated the Community Mediation Volunteers for establishing the Community Mediation Centres at various places in the Kamareddy District.

Sujoy Paul also said that these Community Mediation Centres can be utilised for resolving the matrimonial disputes, other minor disputes and the issues pertaining to the senior citizens which are increasing day by day and by using the services of the Community Mediation Volunteers in the Community Mediation Centres, settle the matrimonial disputes, the issues pertaining to the senior citizens and other disputes.

Kamareddy district collector Ashish Sangwan and other officials have shown their Interest in setting up the Community Mediation Centres, and they have taken a proactive role in the establishment of Community Mediation Centres in Kamareddy District, which is a good gesture.
