Telangana to procure entire paddy from farmers

Telangana government had decided to procure entire paddy from the farmers.

Paddy procurement was discussed threadbare in the cabinet meeting on Monday. The cabinet instructed the officials to keep procurement centers functional till the entire paddy is procured.

The procurement of paddy is almost over. However, due to untimely rains, it was stopped for a while. Paddy is being transported to the centers. Hence, the cabinet asked the officials to keep centers open till the procurement is completed.

The cabinet also decided that chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. should visit the combined Warangal district where crops suffered damages due to the untimely rains.

Accordingly, the CM will undertake a visit to the combined Warangal district on Tuesday. The agriculture minister, Chief Secretary, and other higher officials will accompany the CM.
