TGSRTC hospital gets nod for DNB PG medical courses with 7 seats in key specialties

Hyderabad: The TGSRTC Hospital (Tarnaka) has received approval to offer Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Postgraduate Medical Courses. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has granted approval for seven seats across three departments.

The TGSRTC management has submitted an application to NBEMS seeking permission to start DNB PG Medical Courses at its hospital with the aim of providing better quality healthcare to RTC employees. After a comprehensive review, NBEMS has approved three seats in General Medicine, two seats in General Surgery, and two seats in Orthopedic Surgery.

Admissions to the 3-year PG courses will be through NEET, while the 2-year diploma courses will be filled through the DNB-PDCET. These courses will commence in the upcoming academic year.

The TGSRTC management expressed happiness over the approval of DNB PG medical courses at Tarnaka Hospital. Managing Director VC Sajjanar stated that this approval will further strengthen the medical services at the hospital.




He added that having well-trained doctors practicing at the hospital would be greatly beneficial for the health and security of RTC employees. He noted that the Tarnaka hospital has already been developed into a super-specialty hospital to provide better medical care to the staff. The management is committed to transforming RTC into a ā€œHealthy RTCā€ by ensuring the best healthcare services for its employees.

The TGSRTC management congratulated Dr. Srinivas (Medical Administrator), former OSD Dr. Saidi Reddy, and doctors Sushmita, Pramod Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, and Raj Kumar for playing a key role in securing approval for the DNB PG courses. They were felicitated by MD V.C. Sajjanar along with other senior RTC officials at Bus Bhavan, Hyderabad on Monday.

The event was attended by ED Munishekar, CPM Usha Devi, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Shailaja Murthy, and others.
