Three sisters from Tandur killed in Ranga Reddy Bus-Truck collision

Chevella: A devastating road accident in Ranga Reddy district has plunged a family from Tandur into unbearable grief. Three daughters of Yellayya Goud, a resident of Gandhinagar in Tandur town, lost their lives in the mishap.

Family members identified the victims as Tanusha, Sai Priya, and Nandini, all students of Koti Women’s College in Hyderabad. They were returning to Hyderabad when the mishap took place.

Heartbroken parents and relatives who rushed to the accident site broke down in tears upon seeing the tragedy.

Yellayya Goud, who works as a driver, had dedicated his life to educate his children. He has four daughters—one of whom is married—while the other three died in today’s tragic collision, leaving the family shattered. The sisters had recently spent good time with their family during a family wedding held on September 15.

In another sorrowful loss from the same accident, a young woman named Akhil Reddy from Lakshminarayanapur in Yalala mandal also died. The MBA student’s mother and family members, grief-stricken, reached the scene and wept inconsolably over her untimely death.

The tragic road accident has left two young girls orphaned. Bandappa and Lakshmi from Hajipur village in Yalal mandal of Vikarabad district lost their lives. The couple were on their way to the hospital as Lakshmi had been unwell. Their daughters, Bhavani and Shivalila, were left heartbroken and inconsolable after the death of their parents.



19 passengers including a 10-month-old infant were killed when a truck carrying gravel was traveling on the wrong side rammed into a TGSRTC bus near Mirjaguda on the Hyderabad-Bijapur highway in Chevella mandal of Ranga Reddy district on Monday morning. The accident occurred when the RTC bus was traveling from Tandur to Hyderabad with about 70 passengers on board.

Officials are in the process of conducting post-mortem for the deceased, and will later handover their mortal remains.




Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that an inquiry has been ordered into the horrific road accident. He assured that the government will extend full support to the families of the victims and announced an ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh for each of the deceased.
