Hyderabad: In a new development, the Cyberabad Police have served notices to Former TRS MP and current BJP Leader A P Jithender Reddy's personal assistant- Raju. The notice has been served on the grounds that his personal assistant has provided accommodation to the prime accused in the case of an alleged conspiracy to kill TRS minister for Excise and Prohibition and Tourism- V Srinivas Goud.

On Wednesday the Cyberabad police have arrested eight men.

Additionally, the Cyberabad police also filed for an extension of custody furthermore in a local court here on Thursday.

However, A P Jithender Reddy said that he was unaware of who he was accommodating apart from Ravi, one of the accused. "I provided accommodation at the request of my PA," he said.

Speaking to NewsMeter, BJP leader Jithender Reddy said, "Ravi (accused) is from my constituency. Whenever he travels to Delhi, he requests accommodation. The same happened on March 1st, while I was away. I was unaware of the three others who accompanied him. During late hours, men in civil dress picked them up. I have no clue about the plan and their accomplices. I wasn't even present at the guest house in Delhi".

Meanwhile, Telangana State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday said the party would approach high-level investigating agencies to investigate the matter.

"We will not leave it. We want to know the actual persons who were behind it and hence, we will reach out to good investigation agencies for a detailed probe," he told media persons urging the police to investigate the case thoroughly. He alleged that it was not a conspiracy against the Minister but a script adding that the names of senior BJP leaders DK Aruna and former MP Jithender Reddy were dragged into the case unnecessarily.

"We are not scared about the false cases booked against our leaders. MP D Arvind and I have also faced attacks earlier," he said, alleging that everyone knows the problems being faced by people in Mahbubnagar district.

Meanwhile, at a separate press conference, DK Aruna demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should investigate the case to know the facts. "We will also bring the matter to the notice of our high command in New Delhi and explain it in detail," she said.
