Hyderabad: Over 45,000 people have fever-like symptoms out of the approximately 12 lakh people surveyed during the fever survey, said Telangana health minister Harish Rao Thanneeru on Saturday.
While participating in the door-to-door fever survey on Saturday in Siddipet district, the minister said a health kit is being provided to all those who have symptoms. He further said that health workers, including nurses, ANMs, and ASHA workers, are keeping a tab on those who have symptoms. "Our health staff and other officials will keep in touch with the people until their symptoms cease," he said.
He added, "Should a person's temperature increase or if s/he faces any problem, then they will immediately be taken to the nearest government hospital and be given all the necessary treatment." The minister said the necessary medical arrangements have been made by the government.
Speaking about the survey which began on Friday, he said the state government has taken the initiative so that the public needn't rush to the hospital.
Mr. Rao pointed out that approximately 20 lakh home isolation kits were distributed during the second wave and the results were good then. Similarly, he said that a door-to-door survey has been started in order to curb the rising COVID-19 cases.
