Hyderabad: Telangana reported 2,707 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, pushing the cumulative caseload to 7,02,801. Two COVID-19 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours in the state.
On Wednesday, the state had reported 2,319 cases. The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 20,462.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported the highest number of cases (1,328) in the last 24 hours followed by Medchal-Malkajgiri (248), Rangareddy (202), and Sangareddy (78).
A total of 582 people recovered from coronavirus statewide in a span of 24 hours taking the overall recoveries so far to 6,78,290 constituting a recovery rate of 96.51%.
As many as 84,280 samples were tested in the state during the past 24 hours out of which the results of 10,026 swab samples are awaited. A total of 3,04,52,039 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic.
A total of 2,65,028 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines were administered on Thursday. Around 68,019 were the first dose, 1,67,103 were the second dose, and 29,906 were booster dose.
