Hyderabad: At least 30 passengers traveling in a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus were injured after it overturned at Kalkond in Vikarabad district on Friday. Two passengers are reportedly in critical condition.
The injured persons, including the woman bus conductor, were shifted to Marpalli government hospital for treatment. Passengers said over-speeding led to the accident. Sixty people were traveling in the bus that was on its way from Sangareddy to Tandur when the accident occurred.
Passengers said the bus overturned due to the driver's inability to assess road bumps near Kalkoda village. Among the injured were persons from Malleswaram, Peddapur, Indol, Tandur, Sadashivpet, Moranapalli, Kodangal, Zaheerabad, Paddemul, Kesharam and other villages in Vikarabad district.
The police who rushed to the place after the incident has launched a probe. A case has been registered.
