TSRTC to offer free ride to children below 12 yrs on New Year day

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on 30 December issued an order directing all officers to allow children below 12 years of age to travel free of cost on 1st January 2022.

"Welcoming the New Year 2022 with a joy and as a New Year offer, it is decided to allow free travel to children below 12 years of age, who are accompanied by their parents in all TSRTC buses on 1st January 2022," read the TSRTC order.

RTC has also planned to run more services of Metro Express buses for the convenience of party goers, youth, families, as they are expected to visit hostels, restaurants, pubs, events, parties, resorts in the city and outskirts.

The extra bus services are pressed into service for new year celebrations to facilitate people participating in New Year celebration on the night of 31 December.

These services will run from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm and the return journey will operate from 12:30 am to 3 pm. Rs. 100 per person will only be charged in the following routes.

TSRTC is also offering 18 seater AC buses on special hire basis from different destinations with GHMC limits for onward and return journey for package fare of Rs. 4000 for the party going public.
