Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday refused to grant bail to Sunil Yadav, the accused in the Y.S. Viveka murder case.
The petition filed by Sunil Yadav was dismissed by the Telangana High Court.
There were lengthy arguments in the High Court on the implead petition filed by the CBI and Y.S. Sunitha, Viveka’s daughter.
On behalf of Sunil Yadav, the lawyer argued that personal freedom was being taken away under Article 21 of the Constitution.
However, CBI counsel informed the court that the Viveka murder case was at a critical stage and requested the bail not be granted now. He further said that if bail is granted, there is a possibility of influencing the witnesses.
The High Court dismissed Sunil Yadav’s bail petition after considering the arguments of the CBI counsel.
