Hyderabad: The court of the principal judge for CBI cases, Nampally, Hyderabad on Monday evening pronounced its orders dismissing the bail petition filed by Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy.
Mr. Uday Kumar was arrested by the CBI on 14 April in connection with the Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
Earlier, the CBI furnished a copy of the case diary to the court related to the murder case.
The CBI argued that Mr. Uday Kumar Reddy was a close aide of YSRCP Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy who had destroyed evidence at the murder spot. Further, the CBI argued that Mr. Uday Kumar Reddy may tamper with evidence and threaten witnesses, hence bail may not be granted.
Judge Ch. Ramesh Babu pronounced the judgment on Monday evening and said the bail petition filed by Mr. Uday Kumar Reddy has been dismissed.
