Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will lead a high-level delegation to the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting tobe held in Davos from January 19 to 23, 2026.

CM Revanth will be presenting the Telangana Rising 2047 vision to woo investors in a bid to achieve the goal of a USD 3 trillion economy.

Chief Minister’s Davos strategy focuses on a "China Plus One" approach, positioning Telangana as the global alternative for supply chains, particularly in Life Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, and Green Energy.

The key agenda is to pitch for Telangana Rising 2047, where Hyderabad is to be enhanced to a global services high-tech hub, developing industrial and manufacturing zones on the city outskirts and agriculture and food processing units in rural Telangana.

Meet global CEOs:

1) CM will host an exclusive session for global CEOs where he is expected to:

Unveil the Telangana Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026–2030 - This policy aims to transform Telangana into a $250 billion life sciences economy by 2030. It focuses on shifting from manufacturing scale to high-value R&D, precision medicine, and advanced therapies.

Launch the Telangana AI Hub - A formal launch of specialized Artificial Intelligence hubs to position Hyderabad as a global leader in AI-driven innovation.

Showcase flagship projects like Bharat Future City, the Musi River Rejuvenation, and the Regional Ring Road to enhance confidence in investors in the changing infrastructure in the state.

Flagship Projects to be Pitched

The Chief Minister will actively seek investments for several "game-changer" projects:

Green Pharma City: A sustainable, zero-liquid-discharge industrial cluster located near the international airport.

Bharat Future City: A new urban development project aimed at creating world-class living and working spaces.

Musi River Rejuvenation: Presenting environmental and urban redevelopment opportunities along the Musi riverfront.

Infrastructure: The Regional Ring Road (RRR) and Regional Ring Rail projects will be showcased as backbone infrastructure for global logistics.

Strategic Goals & Follow-ups

Global Capability Centres (GCCs): The delegation will highlight the success of companies like Vanguard, Netflix, McDonald’s, and L’Oreal, which have recently expanded their GCC operations in Hyderabad.

Investment Review: Before leaving for Davos, the CM reviewed progress on the ₹5.75 lakh crore in investment assurances received during the Telangana Rising Global Summit in December 2025. He has directed officials to resolve any procedural hurdles to ensure these commitments translate into ground-level projects.

The "Spirit of Dialogue": This is the official theme of WEF 2026, and the CM will use it to position Telangana as a stable, "China Plus One" alternative for global supply chains in sectors like renewable energy and manufacturing.

Post Davos meets: After the summit, CM Revanth Reddy and his team will be on a week-long tour of the United States from January 24 to 31 to meet tech leaders and the NRI community.

Flashback of Davos visits

Revanth Reddy first attended the WEF in January 2024, just one month after taking office as chief minister of Telangana. His participation was marked by a strong focus on technology-driven healthcare in 2024.

Key Contributions:

Universal Health: He argued that healthcare should be a fundamental right and universal.

Digital Health Records: He proposed creating digital health records for all citizens of Telangana to improve healthcare planning and delivery.

Medical Tourism: He pitched Hyderabad as the potential "Medical Tourism Capital of Asia," leveraging the city's unique position as a hub for both pharmaceutical manufacturing and software.

C4IR Launch: During this visit, an agreement was signed to establish a World Economic Forum Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) in Hyderabad, focusing specifically on HealthTech and Life Sciences—the first thematic center of its kind.

2026 Goal: The government aims to build on this momentum to reach the state's ambitious $3 trillion economic target.
