When will you appoint the chairman, members of TSFC: Telangana HC to state

Telangana High Court has directed the state government to specify a date when it will appoint the Chairman and Members to the Telangana State Finance Commission (TSFC).
A division bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice T. Vinod Kumar was hearing a petition by Forum for Good Governance.
Satyam Reddy, Senior Counsel appeared for the petitioner had sought directions to the state government to appoint Chairman and Members to the State Finance Commission as required under the constitution.
Satyam Reddy told the Court that the state is not taking any tangible steps in appointing Chairman and Members to the Telangana State Finance Commission.
He said the government is only buying time. He said last year also, when the petitioner approached the High Court, the state had constituted the Finance Commission, whose term expired in 2022. Since then the State Finance Commission has been headless.
The matter has been adjourned to August 31.
