Hyderabad: Stepping up the pressure, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MPs moved an adjournment motion in both houses of parliament demanding the tabling and passing of the women's reservation bill.

The MPs also requested for an all-party meeting to discuss the bill.

Earlier this month, MLC Kavitha of the BRS party staged a day-long protest at Jantar Mantar, urging for the introduction of the women's reservation bill.

Bharat Jagruthi, a political organization led by Kavitha, recently held a round table conference in New Delhi that saw participation from over 15 political parties, civil society organizations, and the student community. The conference aimed to discuss the urgent need for the women's reservation bill to be passed in parliament.

Bharat Jagruthi, led by MLC Kavitha, is set to launch a 'Missed Call Campaign' soon to strengthen the demand for the Women's Reservation Bill. The campaign will be accompanied by round table discussions in colleges and universities across India, where the need for the bill's tabling and passage will be deliberated upon.

Additionally, she revealed her intention to initiate nationwide programs, demanding that the government introduces and passes the women's reservation bill, which aims to provide 33% reservation for women in the Parliament and state legislative assemblies.
